This Privacy Policy describes how Flexirider ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Flexirider Rider mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information when you use the App:
2.1 Account & Identity Information
- Full name
- Email address
- Mobile phone number (used for OTP authentication)
- Profile photograph (optional)
- Government-issued identity documents (for KYC/rider verification only)
2.2 Location Information
Location data is central to how our ride-hailing service works. We collect:
- Precise GPS location (latitude/longitude) - collected during active trips
- Approximate location - used as a fallback when precise GPS is unavailable
- Background location - collected only while a trip is actively in progress. This allows passengers to track your real-time position on the map. Background location collection stops immediately when the trip ends.
We do not collect your location when the app is closed and no trip is active.
2.3 Payment Information
Payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We do not store your full card details. We retain:
- Payment method type (e.g. UPI, credit card, debit card)
- Last 4 digits of card (for display purposes only)
- Transaction reference IDs
- Trip fare and payment status
2.4 Photos & Documents
- Photos captured via the in-app camera or selected from your gallery - used for KYC document upload and profile photo
- KYC documents (e.g. driving licence, ID card) - uploaded for rider identity verification and stored securely on our servers
2.5 Device & Technical Information
- Device identifiers - device model, OS version, and a unique device ID. Collected via READ_PHONE_STATE permission for anti-fraud and account security purposes.
- App version number
- Crash logs and diagnostic data (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Network connectivity type
2.6 Trip & Usage Data
- Trip history (pickup, drop-off locations, timestamps, distance, fare)
- App interactions (screens visited, features used) - via Firebase Analytics
- Ratings and feedback submitted
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
3.1 With Passengers
Your first name, profile photo, vehicle details, and real-time location are shared with the assigned passenger during an active trip. Your overall rating is visible to passengers before they accept a booking.
3.2 Legal Disclosure & Business Transfers
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority. If Flexirider undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same privacy protections described in this Policy.
4. Data Storage & Security
- All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- Payment data is handled exclusively by Razorpay on PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure.
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis.
- KYC documents are stored in encrypted cloud storage with access logging.

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting customercare@flexirider.in. You may update your profile information directly in the App under Account Settings.
Right to Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data via the Account Deletion Form.
